Description of the trees

Domestic apple tree (December 22 – January 1; June 25 – July 4)

The apple tree is the first tree in the Druid horoscope, was the first cultivated tree and appears as one of the inspirations of the World Tree, the tree of Mother Earth.
The fruit of the apple tree is an apple, perceived as a magical fruit, symbolizing knowledge, temptation and choice between good and evil, and is a symbol of love and beauty.

Fir prefers brave and aware people, ready to fight against troubles and not give up.
Fir strengthens the will, endurance, strengthens the spirit and the physical body.

Black poplar (February 4-8; August 3-13)

The generic name of poplar comes from Latin: populus – the people, because poplars were planted around squares and other places of public gatherings.
Poplar is a symbol of strength and youth, helps restore emotional state, clean energy, breathe a second life.
This tree absorbs negative information from the surrounding world. The poplar consumes it. If you are in a bad mood or someone has offended you, the poplar will drive away sadness and bring relief, while you need to hug the poplar with your arms and stand for a few minutes.
In cities, the poplar performs a sanitary function. For its existence, it must absorb a huge amount of negative energy.

European cedar pine (Cedar) (February 9-18; August 14-23)

Cedar is an energetically very strong tree and has unique characteristics: its wood has a pleasant aroma and is resistant to decay, which makes it valuable for construction.

Willow becomes especially strong during the full moon and on Palm Sunday. It is on such days in spring or summer that you should turn to the plant for help, collect buds, leaves and rods.
If you feel a sharp decline in strength, which does not leave a feeling of brokenness, it is worth taking a walk to a young willow bush. You need to hold the twigs of the plant in your palms for a few minutes in order to saturate with its energy and give to the willow your bad feelings.

It was believed that the linden brings protection, good energy and peace to the house.
According to beliefs, a linden tree can grant wishes. If you want to succeed in any endeavor, then you need to ask for what you need early in the morning, at dawn. Those who need help getting things done as quickly as possible should turn to it at sunset.
Linden, in addition to its beauty, has several special properties. Linden flowers create healing honey with a soothing effect.

In Kyiv, on Starokyivska Hill, there is a linden tree, which, according to legend, is about 400 years old. Allegedly, it was planted by Metropolitan Peter Mohyla himself, when a new church was being built on the ruins of the old church, and that was in 1635.

Common hazel (March 22-31; September 24-October 3)

It is a defender of creative personalities, helps to reveal inner potential and abilities.

Maple (April 11-20; October 14-23)

Maple will strengthen relationships that are on the verge of breaking up, restore understanding and love between partners.

In the legends of the Western and Eastern Slavs, when a person was magician transformed (“enchanted”) – he/she transformed into maple. That is why maple wood could not be used for firewood, maple leaves could not be placed under bread in the oven. A palm with five fingers was seen in the maple leaf, in addition, the five ends of the maple leaf symbolize the five senses.
It was believed that maple protects against lightning. Therefore, according to the old tradition, when building a house, a couple of maple trees were planted on its southern side. Since the house was usually built when a new family was created, these trees were named “Groom” and “Bride”. And in the old days, these two maples were called the trees of the god and the goddess.
The maple tree symbolized magical protection, love and material well-being. Maple leaves were often depicted on Easter eggs.
At the end of the sixties, the Canadian maple leaf also became a symbol of peace and love, appealing not only to our five physical senses, but also to higher, spiritual ones.
The beauty of maples conquered people a long time ago. The maple leaf acts as the emblem of Canada. In China and Japan, the maple leaf is considered a symbol of lovers, so very often in Eastern art we can see the image of a maple.
Maples are fantastically beautiful in autumn. Their fall attire is a favorite motif of ancient Chinese and Japanese engravings.

Walnut (April 21-30; October 24-November 2)

The walnut tree is associated with a symbol of wisdom and knowledge, fertility and abundance, symbolizes strength and protection.
Communicating with a tree clears the mind of negativity, allows you to achieve harmony with yourself and those around you, and adjust to a positive mood.
Grounding properties are attributed to the walnut.
The walnut has served as a sacred magical symbol since ancient times. Manipulations with it, according to belief, could cause rain, heal from infertility, give a person wisdom or, on the contrary, deprive him of his mind.

Sweet mock orange, English dogwood (May 1-14; November 3-11)

Common hornbeam (June 4-13; December 2-11)

European beech or common beech (December 21)
